Not all Open Source licenses are compatible with each other. It would be nice if Cavil could highlight known incompatibilities in the report. Perhaps with a UI for incompatibility management.

Definitely a good idea!
Maybe one could use the underlying json file of https://www.osadl.org/html/CompatMatrix.html which contains compatibility data for many known licenses and seems be licensed under CC-BY-4.0.
