running Plover 4 on Big Sur (developer cannot be verified) #1235

Hi there. This happens because Plover is not code-signed. It's something that we're looking at accomplishing in the future, but there's a lot of work and an annual fee involved. So until then, I hope this helps!

  1. Download the .dmg of Plover that you'd like to install.

  2. Double-click to open the DMG.

  3. A window will pop up with Plover and the applications folder, drag Plover into the Applications folder and wait for it to copy over.

  4. Launch Plover from the Applications folder. A warning will appear like the following:

  6. Open "System Preferences"

  7. Go to "Security & Privacy"
