How can I toggle a plugin with a stroke?

Probably only useful if you are developing that plugin, however...

• Method 1: use a dedicated command plugin. (there's none at the time of writing)

• Method 2: use the plover-run-py plugin. Refer to the example section.

• Method 3: use the built-in plover:set_config command. Example: (as entered in Plover's add translation window. In JSON the \ characters need another layer of escaping)

  This method requires the list of other extensions to be known in advance, and either

  • two different strokes to enable/disable the plugin, or
  • plover-dict-commands plugin to toggle another dictionary to keep track of whether the extension is currently enabled or disabled.
