When I think about mind-mapping all the links, I think about:

  • the sum-total content to be displayed
  • the connections between the objects (explicit and implicit, and 2nd-order (eg: by user-categorized topic or some other derived attribute)
  • what is the desired experience of a 3d mindmap? and I think about to explore the data, but is it good for reading? what can be explored in 3d space?
  • what can be learned from google and search engines/crawlers who process this data but may not provide public visual representations

Ultimately, I'm seeking to articulate specific uses for a 3d mindmap of links, which would drive out features specific enough to build.

When I look to the market (eg: https://thebrain.com) - I'm not yet clear on what differentiating features or experiences to focus on.
