Is there a trick to use Touch ID instead of passwords?

Homebrew installs and uninstalls are one of the most frequent reasons I type a password on my mac that otherwise has a Touch ID.

Is there a trick to replace manual password typing by Touch ID, by any chance?

Adding this:

auth sufficient pam_tid.so

to /etc/pam.d/sudo, as per this guide, worked.
