Cool, I know we had a lot of back and forth around this one and decided to make this a config as there is no consistency across the stage environments and we can't be opinionated from a milo perspective about that one. Lovely to see the announcement being sent out and helping to make stage and the stage-user-journey more consistent! |

The discussion is no longer relevant as this feature was refactored. Another discussion around that was opened in here. |

Motivation:
Multiple reporters have faced the same issue on Milo pages where links, mostly authored with Production URLs, were not converting to their Stage counterparts when in the Stage environment.
Description:
To resolve this, we’ve introduced a feature that converts these links, making them environment-aware. This enhancement enables E2E testing in Stage environments, benefiting all Milo consumers.
Usage:
To activate this feature, Milo consumers need to add a
stageDomainsMap
JSON to the config they set in their page loading script. The
stageDomainsMap
JSON would be formatted as follows:and will determine which domains would be converted to what Stage counterpart.
Example:
An example of integrating this can be found in here.
