New feature optional ?

I made it possible to set an array using string. In the process, I also made it possible to read array as a string.
Should this new feature be optional or official?

It doesn't look very good and could be detrimental to the user's legibility. Was maybe thinking of button instead that open table like for scanner parameter or scan data.

In the end, decided to set it optional because impact performance when reading large array
