New Autoware RViz2 Theme

We have finally released the new RViz2 theme for the developers and the users of the Autoware.

We've made use of Figma Material 3 Design Kit and the https://m3.material.io/ M3 Material Design guidelines to achieve the best dark theme that we could create under the limitations of QT Widgets based RViz.

This new configuration won't affect non-Autoware RViz2 or any other Qt based app.

Installation

To start using the new theme, either perform a clean installation of the Autoware as usual. The new theme will be enabled by default.

To use it with your existing Autoware installation, update the main and sub Autoware repositories and follow:

• https://github.com/autowarefoundation/autoware/tree/main/ansible/roles/qt5ct_setup#installation

cd ~/autoware # The root directory of the cloned repository
ansible-galaxy collection install -f -r "ansible-galaxy-requirements.yaml"
ansible-playbook autoware.dev_env.install_rviz_theme  --ask-become-pass

And that's it.

Next time you run the Autoware, you will have the new theme enabled.

@xmfcx Hi, My current autoware version is v1.0, may I ask if I can operate as you described above? This version of my ansible folder doesn't seem to have as much content as the current main branch code.

Have you encountered this problem when installing a specific version of ansible?

This caused me to not be able to update the theme of rviz using ansible commands normally.

On Ubuntu 22.04 the steps in the link you've sent works without issues for me.

2️⃣ Could you also share the full outputs from those commands?

Also, the ansible installation method did not change much from the 1.0 release.

3️⃣ Could you share the error log file from the fatal error from pip?

Maybe your system clock is mis-configured (but your date seems to be correct 🤔 ).

Could you check out the potential solutions from ChatGPT?

@hzkkk1997 maybe you can use this --trusted-host parameter as well:
https://stackoverflow.com/a/29751768

Maybe you just need to update your pip:
pypa/pip#5226 (comment)

Or with this:

sudo -H pip3 install --upgrade pip
