Hi everyone,
I'm a bit miffed by what happens behind the scenes when I create assignments. For example, my classroom is maintained in a GitHub organization named
msu-csc232-fa24
. I created a starter repo namedlab07
in that organization. When I create a new assignment (individual) I point to the template repomsu-csc232-fa24/lab07
filing out all the rest of the fields as needed. When I see the assignment that gets created I find that the starter code is not frommsu-csc232-fa24/lab07
but instead, it's frommsu-csc232-fa24/msu-csc232-fa24-lab07-stl-stack-exercises-lab07
(which is generated frommsu-csc232-fa24/lab07
). This repo that actually serves as the source (origin) repo for the students seems to be generated with a canonical form of:GitHub-org/GitHub-org-reponame-repotitle-reponame
.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
