DBeaver won't display character string from TEXT data types

Hi, we use DBeaver to read data from an Optim archive file database. Optim stores large character strings as a TEXT data type, these strings are usually from data that is imported into Optim from SQL Server varchar(max) columns.

DBeaver will not display the character string values from these fields , it just displays an 8 byte binary number that increments row by row. If we use DBVisualizer, it displays the character string perfectly. Can anyone assist with how to display these strings in DBeaver ?
