myVATSIM Event API

Hi there,

I'm currently developing a web application for my division. I would like to make staff easier with one-click import from myVATSIM event data. I see in this forum discussion that you guys provide a link to retrieve all events. Is there any way to retrieve a single event, probably with their slug?

Hi,
You can retrieve a specific event from https://my.vatsim.net/api/v2/events/view/{id}. Eg. https://my.vatsim.net/api/v2/events/view/932.

Thanks for the response Matan. Is there any possibilities to search with event's slug? I think there is no way for a staff to know what their event's ID is, right?

I checked https://my.vatsim.net/events/lzib-twr-s2-exam-5 and see no clue about what the event ID is. If I check via the API then I know it's 4415. But no way I should ask my user to check the API and search themself :).

You can now query the API with the event slug. Eg. https://my.vatsim.net/api/v2/events/view/lzib-twr-s2-exam-5.

I'm from Brazil and we're interested in doing these event creation things directly from our platform, if it's possible it will make it a lot easier, I believe it's with the right division token?
