Wave visuals do not match wave model

From various runs, it can be noticed that the visual of the water does not match the actual surface level of the water.

This discrepancy is barely noticeable at calm sea states, but still present.
When experimenting at aggravated sea states like the example @bsb808 tested here this visual discrepancy becomes much more apparent.
