I have read the entirety of the FAQ section in the readme, and my question was not answered there, or was not answered sufficiently
I have ran general troubleshooting steps (if applicable), such as restarting the PC/reinstalling Origin/whatever else is described in the FAQ, and they didn't help
I have checked existing issues (including closed ones), and there wasn't an existing issue pertaining to my problem (with possible solutions in the comments)
Your issue
Hi,
I really appreciate your work, since this is the only way for me to play EA Games.
I recently started using the Xbox Game Pass, which still wants me to install the EA App when installing EA games. Any chance to implement the "Pretend EA App is installed" feature for the Xbox App?
Best regards

Hmm good question, if the checkbox doesn't work, then it suggests they're using some different method to detect if the app is installed. However, I'm not sure currently how I could check what method they use, for Steam it was quite easy as they have their installScript.vdf files that'd describe it... I'm not sure if a tool like Process Monitor would work for UWP apps (I presume Microsoft Store is one that does the check?)
I think it's a whole different approach compared to steam.
I can not download the games via the Xbox App like with steam. I recently downloaded an Ubisoft game, which needed to be downloaded and installed via Ubisoft Connect. I think it's the same with EA Games.
So it appears that it needs the EA Play functionalities to make it work, which I guess Origin isn't capable of :/
