I find that while this type of basic programming knowledge is nice to have at your fingertips, I am a terribly forgetful person. So here is a repository of things that I have encountered when programming with their explanations.
They can serve as educational material for others and most importantly for me, as a way for me to remember so I don't have to google the internet for answers every time I encounter the same problem.
