Plex Pass error #842
Comments
The last commit on this repo is from 2+ years ago, I think this project is dead. |
The devs decided to kill all momentum they had with petio by deciding to redo it, rewrite it in another language, redesign the UI that was a selling point for using petio, then taking 2+ years to do all this and not release anything. They lost momentum and probably got burned out and not excited to work on it anymore, especially when they see overseerr taking over. Classic lessons in product for a dev to learn. The devs listened to the very few users who requested jellyfin/emby support and decided to throw out petio, originally made for plex with a UX designed to be easy for plex users to use, decided to throw out the baby with the bathwater and make a generic looking UI that arguably is worse/harder to use. They didn't even have the basics done before throwing out everything and deciding to rewrite everything. This project is dead. These devs should contribute their filters/rules feature to overseerr. That's the only thing that made me use petio in the first place and what set it apart from the others. |
Even though this version is stale because of v2 being in development, it's still in working order. It sounds like you haven't authorised Petio with your plex account. I believe this also needs to be the same user that is the owner of the plex library |
It's not dead, they are prioritizing a rebuild (v2) to support a lot of new features and future possibilities, there's been a few updates on the discord if you are interested. |
I am on the current 0.5.4 alpha version of petio and I see an error for plex pass. I have a lifetime membership to plex pass so I think this error is incorrect. Is there a way to fix it?
