User Story

As a user, I want some default out-of-the-box integration with popular third party plugins to support event tracking so that it will be a convenient experience for user where no configuration is required for basic event tracking

List of plugins

  1. WooCommerce (UPDATE: This is live in plugin version 2.1)
  2. Easy Digital Downloads
  3. Contact Form 7
  4. GiveWP

If you have any specific plugin to be integrated for event tracking then comment here with the plugin name and its url.

We just changed the way our pageview goals work so now you can group different pages under one goal or create goals for dynamic URLs. You can for instance track all the blog posts by using /blog/** (if your blog subdirectory is named blog) or track Woocommerce checkout pages for your ecommerce (/checkout/order-received/*/). this should make it easier to automate this for the WordPress plugin users too?

If some some additions are not on the roadmap, I wonder if there is an opportunity for a clever 3rd party dev here?

Similar to the 3rd party add-on for Fathom: https://wordpress.org/plugins/fathom-analytics-conversions/

events support is on the roadmap for the official plugin too but there is a third party plugin such as this one already: https://wordpress.org/plugins/goal-tracker/

I checked this plugin and it would be awesome if it could track the e-commerce conversion.

@metmarkosaric is this still on your plans? We would like plausible to track automatically form submissions we get over Gravity Forms, WPMUDEVs Forminator.

They are actually not having a "thank you" page - they stay on same page and a thank you message shows up.
Just hoping we can get an integrated solution and i dont have to go over many sites and add this manually as goal with a custom class ;)

@masteradhoc Easy Digital Downloads and WooCommerce integration is scheduled for v2.1.0. We're doing one more patch release of 2.0, so shouldn't be too long!

And after that we're planning on integration much more integrations!

A new version of our WordPress plugin is now ready. It introduces site search tracking and a WooCommerce integration for revenue attribution! Details at: https://plausible.io/wordpress-analytics-plugin
