Currently (Mosaic 2.0rc8) you can add, edit & delete tiles inside the mosaic editor. It would be nice to have a disable/hide option for every tile, which hides a tile in view mode but not in the editor.

I think this would make for a confusing UI since the layout editor is supposed to be close to the displayed layout. Perhaps another way to solve the same problem is a way to store tile definitions somewhere temporarily? So they can be duplicated or move back into a given layout.
Not sure if that storage would be on the layout still, or on the user, or in some globally shared space like a theme?

@agitator We have a special case. We use only 1 column layouts, so hiding is very easy 😉 Yes, in the general way this could be a configurable area (color, image, etc.).
