Distribution (run cat /etc/os-release):

pop-os_22.04_amd64_intel_10.iso

Related Application and/or Package Version (run apt policy $PACKAGE NAME):

Installer

Issue/Bug Description:

VirtualBox is hellbent on forcing 800x600 resolution, most likely because PopOS isn't natively supported. (You might want to contact them about that.) Anyways, the problem is that the UI doesn't actually support this resolution, so you can't access the buttons on the bottom of the install window. You have to just hit enter and hope for the best.

Steps to reproduce (if you know):

Install VirtualBox. Create a sufficiently large storage unit for the install. Put the ISO in the virtual DVD drive. Start the machine.

Expected behavior:

Either make this resolution work, or just fail gracefully. Better yet, ask VirtualBox team to add support for PopOS, which shouldn't be that complicated because they already support similar distros.

I had similar issues on a 10.5" screen with 200% scaling.

Encountered this on a netbook. It's especially frustrating because the UI controls are being pushed off the screen by eye candy. (Admittedly lovely artwork... but extraneous nonetheless.)
