For some reason, omxplayer won't display these italicized subtitles despite it having a italicized font. I'm looking at the subtitles through the Subtitle Edit application on Windows. Omxplayer makes it to "This and that", while vlc displays the text completely.
I know omxplayer is being replaced by vlc, but I am sticking with omxplayer because I have not had any luck setting up the hotkeys for vlc through the terminal. I also have not had any luck trying to use keyboard inputs for the default keybinds either playing from the terminal. If I can get vlc working with the keybinds I really don't care about this issue at all, but I have yet to figure that out.
Here is what errors I get launching vlc on my RPi.
The --global hotkey flags you set for vlc have "string" variables you need to set, and I can't find anywhere in the documentation what that is.
Any help is appreciated.
