Thanks for the report Andrew. Are you able to start a Python console in Positron at all, in any other context? Could you please share your CPU specs? I suspect that it's taking longer than our current timeout window (20 seconds) to boot up the kernel. If so, we should probably bump that a bit more. |

CPU Specs: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1185G7 @ 3.00GHz (This is my normal work computer for daily python/R dev work) I can start them, but they either hang or throw that red error. My python is 3.10 via Miniconda. Also, If I go to the Positron terminal window (pwsh for me) and run "python", that works no issue and fires up right away. |

Hi all,
I'm having issues with "Run Python File in Console" where I get a "Error: Socket connect timed out after 20 seconds". If I use the dropdown to run it in terminal it runs fine, although about 10x as slow as it should.
Any thoughts?
