Way1: Simple start the script

  • You can simple start the script import_maps_paul.sh of directory mapGenerator/
  • Possibly you have to install some tools --> look at the header of script file.

Way2: Step by step (The hardest way)

  • Download the raw openstreetmapOpenStreetMap Data Extracts file - to create the routing data
    • Execute ./graphhopper.sh import . This creates the routing data
  • Download a map e.g. berlin.map Mapsforge .map Download Server
  • Copy berlin.map and routing data files into the created berlin-gh folder
  • Compression Step: Bundle a graphhopper zip file via cd berlin-gh; zip -r berlin.ghz *
  • Now copy the bundle to your Android device.
    • You can use the android debug bridge: adb push src-file target-file
    • You can also use SSHDroid with ssh client: scp -P 2222 berlin.ghz $URL:/path/target-file
    • Or simple use an external memory card
    • The target folder may be /sdcard/Android/media/com.junjunguo.pocketmaps/pocketmaps/downloads/
    • Be aware because of bug #82

for the current version please use graphhoper 0.13.0 with 'car, foot and bike' to generate maps

add this line to your graphhoper/config.properties to enable 'car, foot and bike':

 graph.flagEncoders=car,foot,bike

Way 3: Download maps
