With PowerBI becoming (for better or worse) one of the leading dashboard tools, there is often a need to embed maps. While there is a visual to do this as standard with Cadcorp, and I think some fuctionality for Arc via Icon Map, there's nothing obvious for QGIS, which is a shame.
It would be great if there was a standard freely available PowerBI visual to link straight to a predesigned QGIS map.
(appreciate this might be outside of core QGIS scope but thought it was worth asking)

That's true. However, they have their own commercial product, Azure Maps, so won't be doing that. And the benefit would be for QGIS users. (Cadcorp and actually also ESRI seem to have taken this view)
But I can completely understand if it's out of scope.
