Improvement Description
A text search box would allow precise searching in long drop-down menus — at the very least the "metric" menu.

Current Behavior
No text searching is supported. Some menus can be quite long so manual searching is inconvenient.

Proposed Behavior
We could support something like https://select2.org/

tab-autocompletion would be essential (e.g., for searching for taxa with long names).
