Function for argmax

I'm new to Squiggle. I'm looking for something like argmax. List.maxBy gives the maximum value. I'd like the index.

Try this:

findIndexOfMax(list) = {
  maxValue = List.maxBy(list, {|x| x})
  List.findIndex(list, {|x| x == maxValue})
}

FYI, I tried this on our Squiggle-GPT and that had trouble. But Claude 3.5 got it first try.

@OAGr Thanks. Would you be open to adding this to the API? (NumPy and Wolfram have argmax.)
