The amazon quickstart is outdated, and I spent some time when trying out later quarkus (2.16.3 and later amazon than 1.3.1 as in the example.) before finding the answer in a closed issue - With quarkus 15+and never s3-versions one also needs to set the propery for pathstyle, as it changed behavior in the aws sdk. quarkusio/quarkus#30056 (comment)
