Cannot change font in pdf

I would like to render a document using the roboto font family. I can't get my head around how to do it, Quarto keeps using the default font. Tried fontfamily:, mainfont: and sansfont: with and without pdf-enginre: pdflatex. None of these worked.

The TeX file will contain

  \setmainfont[]{Roboto}

used with XeLaTeX the default with pdf format and Quarto

Inserting using the package can be done this way:

I didn't get any error message when rendering the document this morning and it seems to work now… I rebooted the computer in the meantime so maybe that's what fixed the problem. In any case, thank you for the help!

Also noticing that mainfont: roboto throws an font not found error but I'm almost certain I tried it with a capital R as well.
