If distro comes witk qcow2 images instead of ISO.
(guix whonix ...)

How to properly handle that?

Just rename something.qcow2 to disc.qcow2?

Set IMAGE_TYPE="qcow2"?

disk_img="${VM_PATH}/${ISO}"?
