trying to upload some ovpn files from my provider, I get this message:

 The following errors have occurred:
    File upload failed.

Would be great if there would be a bit more debug info -- did the file not parse correctly?

Can I retrieve logs manually from somewhere?

Could you provide us with your config file, with certificates stripped? -> [email protected]

Emailed.
In related news, I gather from a bit of reading about the ovpn file format that, if your vpn requires a username and password, the (only?) way to provide it is in a separate file from the ovpn file. How could I upload one of those to the netaidkit? can I get ssh/sftp access somehow?
