Styling strategies for MUI v3 to v5

Overview

We have a code base (library of components and some projects that use it) based on version 3 of MUI. We just updated to version 5 with new ways to apply styles, etc.

We should analyze the different cases and clearly define the best practices to facilitate the transition and refactoring.

This topic is closely related to the improvement of the corporate styles Theme and the methodology for organizing and composing components (probably also as GitHub Discussions).

We should also take into consideration discussion Decouple the MUI library from projects

Goal

The goal would be to reach a consensus on:

• How new styles are applied in fresh components
• Of the different types of legacy styles, which ones and how can they be refactored
