Support for Gradle versionCatalogs as a dependency

In my use case, I publish a version catalog as a standalone library and use it the following way in the settings.xml of each project:

dependencyResolutionManagement {
    versionCatalogs {
        create("libs") {
            from("com.predell:gradle-versions:24.47.1")
        }
    }
}

Apparently, except if I missed something in my configuration, it does not automatically upgrade this version and it would be great if it does :)
