i can't use binanrycommand to set value

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. open magent with port 12000
2. use xmemcached binnarycommand to connect magent
3. set some value to memcached

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

  i wish the set is ok,but it's operation timeout

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

   v0.5 v0.6 
   centos 6.5
