When cloning application sources, the library currently makes the assumption that the source code will be retrieved from GitHub or GitHub enterprise. To enable a more agnostic approach, the github scm step should be replaced with the more generic git to enable greater compatibility.

In addition, the user and organization input fields should be replaced with a url containing the git repository
