When printing, the status bar message "Printing page x..." counts to the last page, then remains in the status bar until the user clicks within the document.
I have tried using a variety of different printers and see the same behaviour.
It looks like this behaviour has been around a very long time (I went as far back as version 6.23.203.2). I guess I don't do enough printing to have noticed before now 😄
Ideally, I believe this message should disappear after printing and revert back to the regular status bar detail. NB: the following related applications do not have this persistent message behaviour. In each case, the printing notification disappears once the print completes:
Notepad2 4.2.25
Notepad2_mod (XhmikosR) 4.2.25.998
Notepad 2e (ProgerXP) R134
Notepad4 (Zufuliu) 24.09 r5472
Environment:
Notepad3 (x64) 6.24.828.1 rc3
Windows 11 Enterprise 24H2
