Typst is a new markup-based typesetting system that is powerful and easy to learn.

Only now I had a chance to read about it, it is interesting but looks like more a LaTeX alternative.

For marmite I am thinking on adding support for hooks, so
marmite itself will not parse other formats but will allow content to be processed to markdown before collecting it.

Example is calling mammoth (python) or asciidoctor (ruby) to generate a markdown for every .docx, .adoc file found on input folder.
