I want to create my own Roku channel, I have already set developer mode on Roku and created a developer Roku account, I understand creating the JSON file is needed, but where do we host the videos? And how are they encoded? Can we use a call function to call videos from different sites such as YouTube, Vimeo, rumble on certain categories? If I have unlimited storage on Google Workspace can I use that and link it to the JSON file, if so how do I do that?

I'm a web designer and have some programming knowledge, I am trying to learn on my own by creating interesting projects if Im asking to noob of a question could you recommend a book on setting this up?

Hopefully you've figured it out by now, but in case anyone comes by with the same question, this page might help:

To answer though, yes, you are to link your videos from an external hosting site. Personally, I prefer DailyMotion or just straight up YouTube. I have no clue about the other questions you asked. I'm stuck on a different part and it's really irritating. Looks like there isn't a lot of helpful discussion in here either.
