Make the CRAN version stand out on the main index page ?

Currently, with the way we are working on R Markdown ecosystem, we will only have one website per repo showing the dev version of the package. So the number in the header is the one from the dev version.

Usually, there is a CRAN badge but pkgdown (or our theme ?) put those badges at the bottom. So you need to scroll : https://pkgs.rstudio.com/rmarkdown/index.html

Wouldn't it be interesting to have the badges stand out more ?
Shortening the content of right column sidebar is also an option obviously.

I am also thinking of having r-universe badges (https://ropensci.org/blog/2021/06/22/setup-runiverse/#adding-badges-and-user-instructions) on the README, this would be interested to have them on the main page.
