Cursor disappears

Hi All, I’m a newbie and this is my first post. When using Ditto, all works well except in one program. A shortcut is used to display the choices. When the choice is selected the cursor disappears and the field is blank. This program is connected to a server and runs on top of windows.
What are my options for trying to remedy this occurrence?
The attempt is to paste plain text.
