Expertise should be a free text field or allow manual text entry in addition to list

Many experts add value to projects and teams by providing know-how beyond specific SAP products. Putting a fixed drop-down selection list in place severely limits what expertise one can put in there.
E.g. I happen to have a good grip on several database technologies that are hugely relevant in the SAP space (think Oracle). Right now I cannot put that in, even though SAP on Oracle is a very specific set of expertise.

Since the expertise does not change as quickly as SAP renames products, I also think that it should be OK to enter product names, that are not 100% catalogue compliant. I'm not less an expert in SAP BW because I don't differentiate between SAP Business Warehouse, SAP Business Warehouse on HANA and SAP Business Warehouse for HANA.

First - I agree that this is not only a question of how you call it but a question of a search term. If someone is searching for an Expert he would rather use the specific SAP term/product
