Is there a way to hide processes from the 'Processes I can start' list? In my setup I have a number of processes that have a "Message start event" or a "Signal start event", that I would not expect to see in the list of processes that I can start, as they should not be manually started, but only by an external trigger. I would even expect "Timer start event" type processes to be hidden.
For instance I have a process for staff which will be going on a business trip. The first part of the process (preparation) should be triggered by the user, but the second part (wrap-up) is automatically triggered by the end state of the preparation part and will then wait for the business trip to be over before it shows an action for the user. I do not want to confuse the users by seeing the wrap-up task, as starting it will do nothing useful for them.

I believe the only way to accomplish this currently is to use the permissions system to allow users to start certain process models but not others.
I think I agree that it probably makes sense for the system to hide the start button automatically for the types of process models you described.
