My two cents: I have used a few Ammonite scripts, and would have no problem switching them to Scala CLI. I know that when my resources are limited I think, “Every hour I spend supporting [something like Ammonite scripts] I could be working on [new features that deliver value].” So I’m all for focusing on only Scala CLI. |

I'm not a core user, I've been exploring Ammonite for my needs and haven't heard of Scala CLI before. Ammonite has bundled libraries which I believe mean I should be able to use it on offline systems, and without needing to install anything beforehand aside from Ammonite. We currently have two ways of running any scripts and that might be confusing for users and I don't believe we are able to provide the same level of support for both.
Because of that I am thinking of dropping Ammonite support and focus on the Scala CLI one.
Please let us know what you think about this!
