Built-in editor isn't applying styles

Email from client:

I tried adding a style (i.e., blockquote) to a text using the Manifold's built-in editor and it didn't appear to apply the style. Not sure if this is a bug.

Acceptance Criteria

• Determine why styles applied by the built-in editor are not being applied correctly

I did come across documentation that might be of help.
