My name is Alvin Ng and I am on the Integrations team over at ShareASale. In reviewing the script (last update 2 years ago), we have since made some adjustments on our end that we would like to request your engineering team incorporate/maintain in the code:
There are two components to our tracking:
- Tracking pixel: This script only fires on the confirmation/check out page and sends ShareASale the sale/lead data when a transaction is completed
- Master Tag: This script needs to be installed on all pages of the client website to ensure proper cookie tracking & ITP compliance
Currently, Segment’s ShareASale integration appears to only install a prior version of our tracking pixel, and the Master Tag is not made available on all pages.
