Recipient authentication

The Jamtis specs contains a recipient authentication workflow. Is this worth implementing? There has not been much feedback on this.

On first sight, looks like a power user feature to me, i.e. one that many more casual users probably would not bother to take into service and simply click away every time. (Most may not even bother to set up an address book.)

I remember that in a number of earlier cases such "lookup using DNS" mechanisms turned out to be problematic in one way or another, but don't remember enough details to judge whether similar problems could lurk here.
