In the community Area, we have the idea of running an ambassador program. A lightweight, low touch program that would allow students to participate in URSSI and promote sustainable research practices at their institution (through short workshops, talks etc). I don't have experience running a successful one and would appreciate some input from folks who have done this well.

  • How do we select the ambassadors? How many?
  • What will the expectations be?
  • What resources will we provide them?
  • What is a way to assess if the program is working well?

I know you know this program, but it might be worth citing the evaluation outcomes from SSI https://f1000research.com/articles/7-1599/v1 ... Happy to take a stab at some of this language if it would help.

Another example is the Campus Champions program. We could ask the friendly co-leads (Dana and Henry) for help/advice.
