1.2 Valuing producers of research software

Section 1.2, page 9: There’s a chance that a hostile reviewer could perceive this section as self-serving, because it’s talking about recognition for software people. However, it’s actually arguing that recognition for software people is vital if you care about research, because we live in a world where most research relies on software. Consequently, it might be necessary to explicitly tie this section back to the original goal which is basically: better software, better research science.

Good suggestion. Not sure how to do this yet, so I'm leaving it open.
