fixity vs fluidity…

following on from yesterdays conversation, this morning i was randomly reading a book and came across a useful reference. the book was 'The Inevitable: Understanding the 12 Technological Forces That Will Shape Our Future' by Kevin Kelly. in this chapter/section (see the two photos below) he talks about fixity vs fluidity, in the physical and digital forms, and how they can and are inevitably blending together.
