Instructions point to old fork?

A react-native dropdown/picker/selector component for both Android & iOS.
This is the most up to date fork of https://github.com/sohobloo/react-native-modal-dropdown and will be maintained. A discussion about that can be found here: sohobloo/react-native-modal-dropdown#251

Why do these instructions point to the old fork? I get the second link because that's where the discussion is held, but shouldn't the first link either point to this repository or be removed compeletely?
