Problem description

The problem only occurred with the 0.9 version (Update for HA 2025.1) with version
The problem did not occur with version 0.8.22. Here, the gas and electricity consumption was displayed and recorded correctly. Since the 0.9 version, this entity no longer exists. A new installation of version 0.9.1 no longer brings back this entity.
Please describe what you were trying to do, what happened, and what you expected to happen.

Read here: you have to enable periodic energy data fetching (now disabled by default) or use an automation to do it.

Thank you, unfortunately I have the problem that the entity IDs that are needed for this are no longer available. I reinstalled my installation and now unfortunately the entity IDs for energy and gas are missing. That is the fundamental problem. Before the reinstallation, I had 23 devices at my Vaillant. Now I am only offered 22 devices and unfortunately ecoTEC is missing here to provide the energy values.
missing:

  • sensor.zuhause_device_0_ecotec_exclusive_consumed_primary_energy_heating
    -sensor.zuhause_device_0_ecotec_exclusive_consumed_electrical_energy_heating
    etc...

I also have an Ecotech but energy data are present. Did you try to reboot All Vaillant devices? Do you see ecotech energy in Vaillant app?

Hello, I restarted the VR921. This morning I saw that the energy data is no longer displayed in the app either. I think there is a problem with Vaillant. But EcoTec is displayed in the app. The only strange thing is that the data seems to be there. When I export the data in the Vaillant app, the data is also there. So the data exists. It is just no longer displayed in the Vaillant app.

Same top me (VR900). Gas and electriciy still available in Vaillant App, but not in HA Integration. All components are up to date.

Good morning, after waiting a night, the EcoTec entities are now back. I can also see all the data again in the app without interruption. Unfortunately not in Home Assistant. Here all data since October 2024 is gone and yesterday I see a value for the entities
sensor.zuhause_device_0_ecotec_exclusive_consumed_primary_energy_domestic_hot_water
with a value of -999 that cannot be found in the statistics. The entity
sensor.home_device_0_ecotec_exclusive_consumed_primary_energy_heating
also shows a value of -1700kWh yesterday.
All very strange.
Do you have to set up automations so that the two values are always read in? For each of the EcoTEC entities?

@GLehnhoff Simply create an automation for the device that provides the energy data. Then the data will be loaded correctly. I have now set this up here and the energy data from Vaillant is now working again.

Regarding the other topic, why the EcoTEC device was gone? I can't say for sure why the ecoTEC device was gone. Strangely enough, everything is back in the Vaillant app. Even the period from October 2024 to today. Unfortunately, the data from that period is missing from Homeassistant. Maybe someone can provide information on how to get the CSV data from Vaillant into Homeassistant without too much effort.

Same to me. Gerät "Vaillant Energieverbrauch" is back in HA, but names of sensors changed so I have to change HA as well.

Reloading the integration regularly is a good idea and I will consider doing that.

Hello,
so the MyVaillant integration seems to have an error since the last update. I now had the electricity and GAS values from the ecoTEC exactly from 5 AM to 1 PM. Everything was also visible in the app (statistics).

Now since 2 PM the energy entities from the ecoTEC are offline again and I can't see any data in the app either! I think the account is blocked here if you request data too often via the home assistant.

Question for everyone here. What did you specify during configuration? Thanks for the info....

Good morning, currently it is running again with the data about the automation. Unfortunately, I have now also found that unfortunately there are measurement errors here and the data determined by the automation often does not match what is reported in the MyVaillant app. There also seems to be an error here with the last update. Yesterday, for example, I had a difference in gas consumption of more than 40kWh. Ok, I was able to change the values manually. But that is certainly not in the spirit of the inventor.

Here is another picture of the entity for the gas consumption and the interruption that was yesterday, where the data was also offline in the app again and the entity was displayed again with an error....

I checked the data again. It seems that there is currently an error when retrieving the data. Actually, a value of 1.5 kWh should be read between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.
See picture from the MyVaillant APP:

Strangely enough, however, Home Assistant reads the following value here:
Bildschirmfoto 2025-01-14 um 09 14 19
But that is the current total consumption according to the MyVaillant app.
