I tried Nastaliq connection editor but got this error:

could somebody explain what's the Qalmi Convention and how do I find it to get naming right.

Hi! Thanks for trying this! I am going to write up my Nastaliq engineering process today. But briefly the convention is this:

Glyphs which form part of the rasm begin with a capitalised form telling you what letter they are (e.g. BE, TE, JIM, SIN, etc.)
The next part is "m" for medial, "i" for initial, "f" for final, "u" for isolated.
Then you have a variant number.

So the second version of you medial beh would be called "BEm2".
