Can't get it to run on windows with node 22.2.0

i installed get-windows@latest and @mapbox/node-pre-gpy always compalins that "this module supports node-api version 9. this node instance cannot run this module. the node-api version of this node instance is 8

but node -p "process.versions.napi" says that 9 is active.

i already deleted all nodemodules updated global npm installation cleared cache... everything
on linux it runs fine with the same node and npm version

any ideas? what did i forget?

Oh sorry, I see I subtly misinterpreted the issue. I guess actually #184 could be closed in favor of this in that case?

@valueerrorx I wonder if you've tried 22.8.x since?
